I heard a lovely hymn at church today and I just thought I'd share it. Truly Jesus is the sweetest name I know. Enjoy.

God sees your pain

In an age where self-image is everything and success determines your value, how can you compete with the ‘perfection’ of celebrities and live up to the unspoken expectations that surround you daily on social media. Low-self esteem and poor self-image are issues which are prevalent in our society, particularly amongst young women. When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Maybe you have had your confidence knocked because of years of rejection, or perhaps you never really liked ‘the skin you’re in.” This does not go unnoticed by God.

I’m Rachel John and I am a Christian author and illustrator. My work enables people to understand spiritual truths that relate to their everyday lives. With a passion for creative writing and a background in art and fashion, I employ my creative gifts to help build God’s Kingdom here on earth. I believe that He wants to see lives changed and hearts healed by His transforming love. And it is my prayer for you that you will experience that love. Maybe you have been overlooked in society and feel invisible. But God has a plan for you and He sees your pain. You are beautiful and God loves and values you just the way you are. The reason for this is because He created you just the way you are. You are hand-crafted and tailor-made by a Creator who makes no mistakes. A little bit about who I am

My name is Rachel John and I grew up in a Christian family. Writing is my passion and so is Art and Fashion. I hope to use my creative gifts for the furtherance of God's Kingdom. I am an unpublished author, in that I write (and illustrate) Christian allegories and tell stories which convey spiritual truths help people to understand spiritual realities. I also write Christian poetry in a way that is relatable to life and what people go through. Issues such as low self-esteem are prevalent in our society and I want to address those issues from  a biblical perspective so that people see God's mindset on those issues and understand His heart towards them in order to bring about healing.
