Go to the Cross

Many of us today don't really understand the true cost of freedom. Christ Jesus paid in full the outstanding debt on our souls. Since the "Fall of man" GOD has sought to restore mankind to full fellowship with Himself. So He sent down His Son. GOD Himself, came down to earth in the person of Jesus Christ and restored man to full fellowship with Himself once again. Thus reversing the effects of Adam's sin. Now that's love in action!

Look to the cross
Oh the pain and the loss
My Saviour must have felt
He stayed on that tree
For you and for me
Till every blow was dealt.

He set us free
Both you and me
Eternal life we’ve been given
His death brought us life
Destroyed death, sin and strife
Our home is now in Heaven.

If you want to know what true love is, look to Calvary’s Cross

There is none like the LORD

Read Isaiah 40:25-26
"To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth."
Who is like the LORD? Who could make the mountains and the hills with a single command? With a Word thw universe was formed. THAT is how mighty my GOD is. That is how powerful our LORD is. He speaks and the universe is formed. Orders and commands materialise because of His Word, His awesome might. Even the winds and waves obey Him. Great is our GOD. Who in the whole universe could speak the whole universe into existence. Who could create the solar system, with all it's planets, stars, and galaxies in all of its' complexity? Only GOD, our mighty GOD could do that! That is why He is worthy of our praise and adoration. In His infinite wisdom, power and love, He created a perfect universe and placed man in it. Yes, GOD's grace was there from the beginning. Only His longstanding patience and matchless love could keep Him so patient with us. He is great. The Psalmist said it well: - "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?" (Psalm 8:4)

There is none like You,
Noone else can touch my heart like You do...

How great is our GOD.....Name above all names

Thanks GOD!

Often when we receive things from GOD, we forget to say thanks. We would usually do so when we receive thungs from a physical person. Like at the counter of a shop, as we receive our goods we say thanks. Or when our parents cook us dinner we say thanks once we've received it. If we sneeze and somebody saya "GOD bless you" we say "thank you". If somebody pays us a compliment...you get my point. There are many things we take for granted in this life given the fact that it is GOD who provides all. The Bible says that "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." (James 1:17)
How many times in life during the day do we before we draw our next breath, thank GOD for the very life that is in us. The Bible says in .. that in Him we live and move and have our being
So what does this mean? The very breath in our body is a gift from GOD and we didn't ask for it. There are lots of other things in our life which we take for granted. The gift of speech, sight, smell, taste, touch. The ability to be whole minded and able-bodied. The clothes we wear, the food we eat, the house we live in, clean water. Many things we take for granted is a scarcity in many developing (third- world) countries. We have to thank GOD for these things. Many of us take our loved ones for granted, but we must no take GOD for granted. Psalm 103:2 says that we are to "forget not all his benefits".
Psalm 103 says that GOD forgives all our iniquities vs 3, heals all our diseases vs 3, redeems our life from destruction vs 4, crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies vs 4, satisfies our mouth with good things vs 5 (so that our youth is renewed like the eagle's), has removed our trangressions as far as the east is from the west vs 12 and pities us as a father pities his children vs 13.

In fact, majority of the things which GOD provides for us is done our of His great, undying, unconditional and eternal love for us. We didn't even have to ask for it. His love is everlasting. You will not find anyone else in the whole universe to be GOD's match. He doesn't have one. Nobody can out-give GOD, over-throw GOD, over-power GOD, out-live GOD, out-love GOD. Nobody in the world can do the things He does. He is great! There truly is none like Him. He alone could make this immensely vast and articulate universe in in grand design with meer words. He spoke the entire universe into existence. Isn't that awesome. It is. GOD is great and there is none like Him. He listen to our most silent of prayers, feels our hearts breaking, hears our most secret of thoughts, looks after the flowers, the sparrows and us. The entire universe is kept in total and perfect balance because of this awesome and mighty GOD, whom noone can truly comprehend or begin to fathom the complexity and infinite wisdom of His omnipotent, great mind. Who can truly imagine all of GOD's thoughts. The vastness of His imagination.
In Matthew 6:25-34 Jesus tells us not to worry about our needs because they are taken care of by GOD and He "knows what you need before you ask Him" vs 8. Without even needing to ask GOD for things, they are provided. He loves us dearly and delights to give good gifts to His children. All that we need His hand provides. This bring to mind one of my favourite hymns, Great is Thy faithfulness. The chorus read:-

Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning
New mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness
Lord unto me

This song to me speaks of the constant care of our loving Heavenly Father. Never will He leave us alone. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Hebrews 13:5. He loves us as a mother loves her new born baby. He loves us even greater than that and this is proved to us through Christ's death on the cross. John 3:16, Romans 5:8, John 15:13, 1 John 3:1. According to His Word, nothing can separate us from that love. Romans 8:35-39. So stand firm in it. Say it with me: - "I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and sees me in my need. He will never leave me nor forsake me and He gives me strength, endurance and power to do all things through Him."

Also read: -
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (Philippians 4:6)

Matthew 6:25-34
Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

GOD is right

All GOD's judgments are true, His testimonies are correct. All the judgments of the LORD are righteous and true. Although we may not understand the LORD or agree with all His ways; He knows what is best and He is always right. All of His decisions are prompted by infinite wisdom and love. All that His does in our lives is for our own good and for His glory. But sometimes we don't know what's best for us, neither do we want what's good for us. So it's up to GOD to take action. GOD sits on His throne and watches our lives. He knows what's best for us and because He knows what's best for us, He will bring about the change He wants yo see happen in our lives. Let GOD mould you. Sometimes I am very stubborn with GOD, but He doesn't give up on me. Have you ever felt that GOD was doing something special in your life, but you didn't know quite what it was? GOD's got a plan for you and for me. But we must cooperate or it will never come to pass. I'm learning that lesson even as I type. GOD wants what is best for me and for you. So cooperate. Trust Him. He knows what He's doing. For He says -For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, (Jeremiah 29:11-14)
Let GOD use you and whatever GOD is doing in your life, let Him have His way. His way is always best.

When life gives you lemons make lemonade

Often we hear the expression "When life gives you lemons you make lemonade". But what does this expression mean to you? To mean it means refusing to see the negative in every situation life throws at you and choosing to focus on the positive things. It's making the most out of every situation in life and acknowledging the truth that everything happens for a reason. GOD has a plan for all of us. It's up to us to acknowledge that we are in the palm of His hand and He's holding our tomorrows. Therefore we have nothing to fear. When we choose to see all of GOD's blessings in our life, I don't think we would even take a glimpse at the things that don't go according to our plan. Because GOD has a much greater plan for us than we could even begin to imagine. When GOD looks at you, He doesn't see what you are now, He sees you as the great person that you will become through Him. A prime example of this is (the son of Jacob) Joseph's brother's. They sold him into slavery out of jealousy because he was their father's favourite. Little did they know that years later they would bow before that same Joseph which they had sold into slavery. GOD had made the Pharoah put Joseph in charge of all Egypt. GOD's favor was on Joseph. Genesis 37-47. When GOD puts you in a high place, noone can move you from that place. (except GOD of course)

Whatever is happening in your life, believe that GOD's gonna turn it around for your good! Just trust in Him. "All things work together for the good of those who love GOD." Romans 8:28 AMEN.

You Raise Me Up  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_TENsSc61M
Click on the link to listen to this song (You raise me up). To me the song reminds me of GOD's provision through all the storms of life. He is faithful to deliver us. He is just and merciful. He pities us as a father pities his children (Psalm 103), He cares for us as a mother would her suckling. He is awesome and kind. No man nor mind can comprehend the love that GOD has for His children. He is sweet and lovely. His mercies never end. They are poured out every day. They are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:23). I love GOD. I love what He has done for me. I appreciate Him for who He is. He has been so good to me. His love for me does not depend on how I treat Him. Even though I let Him down He still cares for me. His love for me and you is unconditional. It does not vary like shadows or wind. James 1:17. He is not like a human being who changes their mind every 5 minutes. His thoughts are not our thoughts neither are His ways our ways. Isaiah 55:8. He keeps His promises. Hebrews 11:11. He does not lie. He loves us and that is it. He has no alterior motive. Although we are completely unworthy, totally undeserving of His love, He loves us anyway. Every good and perfect gift comes from Him. James 1:17
