Ecclesiastes 3 may be a comfort to those who have mourned or grieved the loss of a loved one. It reminds you that there is a time for everything and 'to everything there is a season'; a 'time for every purpose under heaven. This includes life and death. Sure enough, most people get uncomfortable around the subject of death and some even fear it. It becomes an obsession in their life. But the Bible (GOD's Word) assures us that we are not to worry. If you are "in Christ", then you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Your life belongs to Jesus and you are kept by Him until the very very end. Don't worry about your future if you have surrendered your life to Jesus. You have the full assurance of salvation and the absolute certainty that you will be with Him when you die. If you have lived "in Christ" then you will live again. When you accept Jesus Christ into your life, you enter into a relationship with Him that will never end.
If you have not received Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour in your life, do so now.
Why? you may ask. The answer is because He was GOD in the flesh, and He came down for this very purpose: TO DIE FOR YOUR SINS, TO BRING YOU CLEANSING AND HEALING AND FOR YOU TO ENTER INTO A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THE FATHER THROUGH HIM. ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER.
All glory be to GOD the Father in Jesus Christ' name. Our Mediator. Thanks be to GOD I am saved.
Hi, my name’s Rachel. I love GOD and I want to share His word with the world. He has done so much for me and I know that if you give Him the chance and put your trust in Him, He can do the same for you also. Just have faith and BELIEVE and you’ll see great things happen in your life. GOD loves you, never forget that, and He wants us to share that love with others. May GOD bless you and keep you always.

In Season and Out of Season
A word spoken out of season can have devastating affects and consequences. Similarly, a word spoken in the context of GOD's Word, at the right time can be absolutely life-changing. When a Christian speaks the Word of GOD into a situation which needs or calls for it, this can mean GOD breaking through into someone's life and changing the course of history for that person and many others alike. This will most certainly set off a never ending chain or rather domino effect which will echo right into eternity.
I challenge you today to start using your words wisely. Remember, the power of life and death is in the tongue. It is a fire and a world of evil among the members of the body and sets the whole course of a man's life on fire. (James 3:6) Jesus said that a time will come when all men will give an account for every careless word they have spoken.

In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley
Hey guys, here's something for today. I got this from my email address. Dr Charles Stanley is a really good preacher.

Perspective for Challenging Times
Ephesians 3:19-21
There are many ways we can fail to reach the goals that the Lord has for us. Today, I would like to focus on how our perspective can impede fulfilling His best for our lives.
For one thing, our thought process during times of difficulty can be detrimental to our success. In the midst of adversity, it is easy for our trust to flounder and for our eyes to drift from Jesus to the problem. Once our focus shifts away from God, the problem becomes magnified. Negative thinking can overwhelm faith and extinguish courage. Then we may be tempted to quit, which obviously thwarts God’s plan for our good.
What’s more, we tend to see the obstacle in terms of our own strength and resources rather than God’s. The apostle Paul clearly understood this, because he said, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil. 4:13). The Lord’s ability and love are unlimited. Everything that we need, He will provide.
Too often, we miss God’s best because we view the obstacle as a problem instead of an opportunity. Realize that roadblocks are a way for the Lord to demonstrate His awesome power and grow our faith.
What happens when our focus shifts to a godly perspective on difficulties? Gloom turns to gladness, and we experience joy.
When God gave Joshua instructions, He revealed that Jericho would be defeated. But He doesn’t always show the whole picture; sometimes He reveals it little by little. Why? So we will learn to rely on Him daily—He desires that we look to Him for guidance today and trust Him with tomorrow.

Sharp Objects
A pencil is an object which when sharpened can pose as an object which presents beautiful art pieces ( a tool when used in the correct way can be used in the making of something beautiful) or as a dangerous weapon. If it were to puncture the human eye it would blind instantly. Yet in the hand of an extremely talented artist it can be used as a tool which creates masterpieces of creativity. A device or tool used in the process of putting thought and ideas to paper.
In the same way we can either be objects of wrath and destruction of agents of beauty. The Bible says in Romans 12:1-2 to present your bodies as living sacrifices, in view of GOD's mercy, which is our reasonable act of service. We are not to offer the parts of our body to sin to be used by it (Romans 6:11-16). We have an obligation to GOD, not to ourselves and not to the sinful nature (Romans 8:12-13). So offer the parts of your body to the LORD's service. We will either be slaves of sin or servants of righteousness. We can either be objects of wrath and destruction or objects used for goodness. Vessels which carry the LORD's holy presence.
The LORD said to the Israelites thousands of years ago "..I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life. Deuteronomy 30:19-20.
Today the GOD presents you with the same choice. Will you choose life?

GOD is there
GOD is so great and He has a unique way of communicating with each of His children individually and according to their various needs and also their personalities. A divine way of letting them know that they are loved and ultimately (completed) taken care of by their loving Father in Heaven. He watches over you and makes sure that in times of trouble and dispair, you know that you are well-loved by Him and that everything is going to be alright. GOD is so great. I love Him. Many times in my life when I have been down my GOD has been there to rescue me. Right there by my side to whisper a comforting Word into my heart. He melts your heart and leaves you with a peace indescribable.
Once I was at university studying and doing my coursework in the library. I was really down and somehow GOD showed me this Scripture from Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." I wasn't even looking for it and it came up on the internet page I was looking at. GOD knows how to make His Word reach you at just the right time. HE knows when you are on the edge and when you need a Word of comfort to strengthen you and that is just what it did for me at that time. It lifted my spirit and placed a joy in my heart that wasn't there before I had read the Scripture verse. GOD is so great, His Word is so powerful and it provides strength, encouragement and enlightenment at the right time. (Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
2 Kings 6 to me speaks of 3 things:
GOD has given us all we need and more. And we should thank Him for His undeserved amazingly wonderful grace in Christ Jesus. I think I feel a song coming on.
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me...
What a wonderful, kind hearted, tender loving GOD we serve. Hallelujah. Praise You Jesus Christ. Glory be to GOD in the highest.

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Hebrews 4:12
Another passage of Scripture similar to Joshua 1:9 is Deuteronomy 31:6. It again speaks of the Presence of GOD being a soul calming comfort in the face of fear, trouble or confrontation (battle)."All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
No matter what you may be faced with, you are always in the Arms of GOD and His Presence is always with. No matter where you go He is always with you. (Psalms 139) There is nowhere you can go to flee from His Spirit. No height or depth can separate you from His love. No circumstance, no failure, no person, no time, in fact nothing in all of creation can separate you from the Father's love. (Romans 8:37-39)"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
2 Kings 6 to me speaks of 3 things:
- the power of GOD- GOD blinded/confounded the enemy (much like He does for us today)
- the mercy of GOD- excercise in Elisha vs 21-22
- the love of GOD
GOD has given us all we need and more. And we should thank Him for His undeserved amazingly wonderful grace in Christ Jesus. I think I feel a song coming on.
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me...

GOD loves you!
Since Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible GOD, we can best know, recognise and experience GOD's love through Jesus Christ and what He said and did in His life on this earth. The Bible says in John 1:14 that"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. Matthew 9:35
We have the truth of GOD in our hearts when we invite Christ Jesus into our lives and He makes His abode with us. He has given us eternal life, love that will never end, His Son who will never die, never fail us and sits at the right hand of (the throne of) GOD interceding for us. He gave Himself for us freely (to death, being completely obedient to GOD on our behalf so that we might become the righteousness of GOD in Him), when He came in the form of sinful man.
The Bible says that Jesus Christ suffered and died a gruesome and agonizing death on our behalf to make us right/straight with GOD the Father. For it is written "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5
If you ever doubt that GOD loves you, just look to the cross. If He would do that for you, how much more will He give you or do for you in Christ Jesus our Lord. "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" Romans 8:32

Spiritual Amnesia: Do You Forget Me?
Do you forget Me....
- when you're with your friends?
- when life gets hard?
- when you don't have things your way?

JESUS Provides
(NOTE TO READER)
Please, actually read it.
First of all it good to note that GOD (Father, Son and Holy Spirit-are one GOD) provides all things for us. He provided the world we live in. Formed every animal we see from the dust of the earth. He spoke the world into existence. In Him all things hold together. He is and forever wil be GOD. And we all need Him whether we realise it or not. You depend on Him more than you think. The Bible says that every good and perfect gift comes from (above) Him. James 1:17
The very air that you breathe is sustained by Him. Your very existence is dependent upon His existence and upon the incredible love which He has for you. For in Him we live and move and have our being. He is the eternal One. The sovereign King. He makes all things possible.
Jesus Christ provides salvation
EVERYONE has a need for salvation. It is something that you cannot go without. Christ Jesus and only Him provides this much needed salvation. You cannot come to the Father unless through the Son.Without Him you can do nothing. Jesus Christ is the ONLY means of access and way to the Father in Heaven, who sits on the Throne. It was through Him that all things came to be. He is one with the Father. So many people do not understand the fact that there is only ONE GOD. He is the truine GOD. The Maker of Heaven and earth. The LORD and Saviour and Creator of the entire universe. One GOD in three Persons. GOD the Father, GOD the Son (Jesus) and GOD the Holy Spirit.(the Spirit of GOD which indwells every Believer.
We may deny Him but that doesn't make His existence any less real. It doesn't make His power less evident or His Word less true. If I call the sky black or red, it doesn't make it any less the blue which I know or can see that it is. It's the same with GOD. If you deny that He exists, at no point whatsoever would He cease to exist, because He existed before the world was made and before time itself. He is the Uncreated One, the Author of salvation and the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28). What does GOD require of you really?, but to love Him and let His Spirit lead you. To believe in His Son and let His glory be reflected in your life.
Jesus died so that we would not suffer condemnation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
He provides Eternal Assurance
When Jesus Christ
When you except Christ into your life, all of your sins are washed away. You are cleansed by His precious redemptive blood.
Here's a few lines from one of my favourite hymns: -
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
Jesus provides assurance in every sense of the world. In terms of life, death, uncertainty/uncertain times, eternal security. His oppression and suffering set you free from the hardest burden to bear- ultimate separation from GOD the Father. Without Christ there is no hope, there is no life- for He is the Life-Giver. The Living Water/Well and the Bread of Life. It is impossible to get to Heaven without Jesus- the Doorway to Heaven.
Becoming a Christian
Becoming a Christian is not like looking for a bargain. This is the reality. CHRIST DIED FOR US. We either choose to believe it and receive Him or not. It is not like pick and mix or buy one get one free. Jesus gives us a choice, we either accept Him or we don't. But this has eternal consequences. Our eternal dwelling place is dependent upon Whom we have chosen to place our faith and trust in ultimately.
Heaven is a real place just like Hell is. (or the eternal lake of sulphur/fire)
We will either meet the LORD Jesus as merciful Saviour or as Judge. You way up the odds. I'm being quite frank here, but the End (of all time) is near and we have choices to make whether good or bad. If we deliberately keep on denying the Truth, where does that leave us in the end.
The Sinner's Prayer
It's not to late. Pray with me the Sinner's Prayer.
Dear LORD Jesus, I accept You into my life as Lord and Saviour. And I believe with all my heart that You died to take away my sins and that GOD raised You from the dead. Please, come into my heart now and change my life by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Jesus Christ provides Safety
Only GOD can declare a guilty man innocent.
Does it matter what we (I) do?
The answer is yes. Since the Fall of Man the whole world, all of creation has suffered for it and been in disarray. Before sin entered the world through the deception of the devil (Adam and Eve), man lived in perfect unity with GOD. Trangression of GOD's law is what brings chaos, confusion and disarray. Sin can only end in destruction and death.
Thankfully (praise the LORD GOD) He sent down His Son Jesus Christ in the form of sinful man and He died on the cross to pay the price for our sins. In other words, we belong to Him, He paid for us with His blood. He has placed His Holy Spirit within us so that we do not suffer wrath and die along with those who choose not to follow GOD's way. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is eternal life. Romans 6:23
You were not an accident: GOD loves, chose and accepts you!
GOD loves you. In fact He planned the very hour of your birth. He formed you in the womb. (Psalm 139)
So I will ask you one question...
How can we deny or reject such a loving Saviour?
who died on the cross and suffered such a gruesome and agonizing death for our sins. If you knew what the Saviour went through to make us clean (cleansed, set free, without blemish. Presentable before GOD.) we would live every day in ceaseless praise. You (we) did not and cannot earn our salvation. We cannot work our way into GOD's good books. HE willingly paid the price and went to the cross for you.
He broke the curse of sin and death and set you free. All He asks is that you believe this. Pretty easy task on your part don't you think?

"Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us." Romans 8:34
No one in the whole world can condemn you once you are in Christ. He makes you innocent. He/GOD declares you worthy. The world may say that unless you have achieved something spectacular then you are noone/nothing. But GOD says something different. He says "You are My child and I love you. You are worth a lot to Me. And before you have even done a thing, I love you unconditionally, eternally and completely. There is no love like mine and I want to shower you with that love because I love you and becaue you are special to me in all your entirety. You don't have to do a thing to be My treasure." Before you have even done a thing GOD loves you and accepts you for who you are. When you accept Christ Jesus into your life, you are clothed with Him and all His goodness. You put Him on like an eternal covering. Like a garment. And when GOD looks at you He see His beautiful, holy Son Jesus Christ. Believe in Him and you will be saved. Simply BELIEVE.

Why Resign?
Why do you resign to do things your own way when GOD is right there to take action? When you need Him, He will be there. But it is important to know the GOD whom you serve. People who have not come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, do not have the certainty or assurance of eternal life. They have not experienced the security that Jesus ALONE provides. Salvation can be found in no other name. That at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue confess. To be sure of where you will spend your eternity, to be sure of eternal destination, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour today. You will not have that assurance otherwise. Accept Christ Jesus into your life and experience true love. You will never regret a single moment of it and you'll never be the same again.
Safety Instructions
Two days ago I was reading a sign on the train that I was on and I felt like GOD pricked my heart with what I read. The sign read: - Safety Instructions: stay on the train- listen for instructions. It reminded me that when you become a Christian you have a responsibility to stay on the straight and narrow road, the path to salvation.

GOD loves you
Have you ever thought about the fact that GOD loves you? You may say, "sure GOD loves me; HE loves everyone." The Bible says in John 3:16 that "..GOD so loved the world that HE sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."
But HE doesn't just love the world, HE loves you personally as a Father loves each and every one of His unique children as an individual and individually.
Have a blessed night everyone. Bye for now. xx

HE will direct you
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way."
Psalm 37:23
Sometimes you may feel that your life is spiralling of control and that you have lost your joy, motivation and even control. But the good news is that GOD hasn't. He knows what yoiur going through. Your circumstances do not surprise Him, and your steps were already ordained before you were even formed. So take all your problems to GOD and know that HE always knows how to deal with them. Nothing is too hard for Him. No problem too difficult for Him to solve, no wound to deep for Him to heal, no sin too dirty for Him to cleanse, no conscience too muddied for Him to clarify. Before He formed you in the womb, He knew you. (Jeremiah 1:5).
Psalm 37:23
Ordered- Fred Hammond
This song by Fred Hammond reminds you not to be carried away by your feelings of discouragement and disillusionment with your situation. GOD is sorting things out and has set provisions in front of you all the way to equip you in all circumstances. He's waiting for you to take it. Sometimes it just takes a leap of faith. But remember to get your armour on (Ephesians 6:10-18). It's also important to realise that the battle is the LORD's and that He never fails.

You know HE cares
GOD cares for you. HE has said so in His holy Word the Bible. You will never find another like Him. Someone who loves you with an unconditional and endless love. So strong that it can break the strongest chains of depression, uproot the tallest mountain and settle the harshest storm. No matter how you feel, no matter what is going on in your life, GOD loves you! And HE wants you to know that HE cares and that HE's got all your situation and circumstances under control. Just trust in Him.
Worry Not
Read Matthew 6:25-34.
GOD doesn't want us to worry about anything, for we can call on Him. It says in Psalm 55:22 "Cast your cares on the LORD and He will sustain you.." All you need to to do is trust in Him, whenever you're worried. Whenever you need a friend, He is the One you can count on. He loves you.

CHRIST. The Reason for CHRISTmas
Have you noticed that society has tried to demean the whole meaning of Christmas by excluding the One whom the day is all about? Christmas is the day of Jesus Christ's birth- the Son of GOD. The clue should be in the name of the day. Christmas. Yet still people try X-out the Christ out of Christmas thinking that they can separate Him-the King of Salvation- from the day of His birth into the world through the virgin Mary. People forget about the One who bled and died on that lonely cross at Calvary. The One who orchestrated our salvation. (while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.) "He was rich yet became poor for our sakes." He left His Divinity, His throne in the Heavens, the praise and adoration of angels and the bosom of GOD the Father to come to this sin scarred world. The Creator came to die for us.
Now in all this commercialism and superficial gift-giving, we forget the greatest Gift that was ever given. -the Saviour, Jesus Christ. Christ is very Centre of civilization. He is the worlds' Saviour, the Universe's Creator, our just Maker, our Judge, the Potter moulding us, the Hands holding us. The One saving us, truly braver than us, the Heart loving us, the watchful Eyes above us. He rules everything!
He is our awesome GOD, our divine Creator. The One who died for us. The King who died and rose again to save His people. He is he Author and Finisher of our Faith.
He is my eternal Superhero. He never dies. Noone can take His life from Him for He laid it down willingly and took it up again. And now He reigns in glory. Victorious He stands in Heaven, having defeated death and the grave forever. Trampled the devil under His feet. Bought our freedom with His own blood. He freed us from every kind of captivity and seated us in the Heavenly places. He died for sin once and for all. His dying breath brought us LIFE. He did all of this before we of this generation was even born He has entered ino the Heavens and lives to intercede for us. Forever cleansing us from daily sin. He bridged the gap between finite man and the infinite GOD. He is eternal. He is awesome. He is lovely. He is wonderful. He is LORD. And now waits to bring our salvation into completion. HE did all of that by Himself. Truly our GOD is an awesome GOD. As I heard a preacher say on premier radio, GOD as the baby Jesus nursed on His mother's breast whilst He was the One producing the milk in her body. Isn't that amazing? Breath, life, energy, strength.. they are al, provisions from our Almighty, loving heavenly Father. For He created all things. Each and every day is a mercy from Him. The sunlight is a blessing from Him. Every good and perfect gift comes from Him. (James 1:17)
So He humbled Himself for our sakes and although equal with the Father lived the life of a humble Servant of GOD. He did not use being equal to GOD to His advantage. He was rich. Meaning, the world is His, since He created all things and by Him all things were made and consist. He is above all things, the Name above all names. He is our Creator. All the animals of the field are His. Psalm 50:10-12, Job 41:11, Psalm 24:1, Romans 11:35. Yet in Matthew He said "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head."
This Christmas lets remember the CHRIST behind Christmas. Wish a Happy Birthday to your Saviour and the One who set you free from the power of sin and death. Remember His sacrifice and His love. Thank GOD that my Redeemer lives.

Thanking GOD
Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in the things which are going wrong that we forget to count our blessings. Other times when everything is going completely well, we become complacent and forget to thank GOD. Remember that all good things come from GOD. It's nice to feel appreciated. Why should it be any different for GOD? Have you taken time to thank GOD lately for all that He's done for you?

Fear vs Faith
FEAR
The feeling of fear can result in many different things. Fear can either make or break us. When people are afraid you can get a clear idea of what their true character is. Out of fear Simon Peter denied Jesus three times before His crucifixion. The fear factor can dominate most of our daily lives if we let it. In the face of trouble, the feeling of fear can be quickly dissolved if and when you put your trust in GOD. When you do this He puts His peace in our hearts. He gives us a relief which cannot be gained from any other source. Knowing that the Almighty GOD, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, is on your side and fighting your battle for you. We are to have an unwavering faith in GOD. A faith that is rarely moved in the face of uncertain circumstances, financial trouble or whatever your giant may be.
Examples of people who exercised this kind of unwavering faith is David. In the face of trouble he knew that he was on the winning Side, because he knew the unfailing GOD in whom he had put his trust would rescue him from the hands of the "uncircumcised Philistine" Goliath(1 Samuel 17). The same way GOD had delivered him from the paw of the bear and that of the lion, He also delivered him from the hand of Goliath. See, in the face of trouble, David knew the GOD whom he served and was not intimidated by Goliath as the armies of Israel were. He remembered the LORD's faithfulness and power in his past experiences. GOD's love, care, protection and guidance surrounded David all the time. David, though he was just a youth knew for certain that Goliath would be defeated at his hand; not because he fought in his own strength but because he was not fighting on his own. The battle was "the LORD's" (vs 47). When the Philistine and the people looked at him, they saw just as youth, but GOD saw a king. That same David found favor in the eyes of GOD and later became king. When GOD's annointing is on somebody everybody knows it. Failure will scarcely take place in that person's life because their hope is in the Almighty GOD.
Fear when not properly checked is a hindrance in every sense of the word. Fear can stop you from accomplishing your goals and can ensure that dreams never become a reality. It can be so immobilising that you just don't do anything for fear of what might happen if you try. Fear comes in many forms.
But Jesus says that we are not to worry. (Matthew 6) Our lives are in His hands. Our times are in His hands. (Psalm 31:15) He assures us that before we were even born, before He formed us in the womb He knew us. (Jeremiah 1:5) He knows everything about us (Psalm 139:1-5) and He is the One who is ultimately in control of our circumstances. Countless times in the Bible GOD commands us not to be afraid because He is with us. (Joshua 1:9, Deuteronomy 31:6, Hebrews 13:5, Matthew 6:25, Matthew 10:19. Be encouraged friend. GOD is with you.
FAITH
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
4 By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.
5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”[a] For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9 By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11 And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she[b] considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12 And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.
13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[c] 19 Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.
20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future.
21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.
22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones.
23 By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.
24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. 28 By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.
29 By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.
31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.[d]
32 And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. 35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were put to death by stoning;[e] they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
Faith = a living unshakeable confidence
Faith is the unfaltering confidence in GOD. He is able to do all things. And nothing is impossible for Him to do. What He says, it will be done. He is not a man that He should lie. He knows this. It is just for us to know and believe. Often when we are tried and tested we forget all that GOD can do and has done for others in ages past. GOD is faithful.
We can be sure that GOD loves us because we have faith in Him and in His faithfulness and also in His unchanging character. The fact that GOD has said repeatedly that He loves us and delights in us (John 3:16, 1 John 3:1, Psalms 145:13-20)
The feeling of fear can result in many different things. Fear can either make or break us. When people are afraid you can get a clear idea of what their true character is. - fear of the unknown
- fear of people- being afraid of what people will think of you- Solution- remember that GOD loves you unconditionally and you are ultimately secure with Him and accepted by Him.
- fear of making mistakes -(stems from perfectionism)
- fear of death
But Jesus says that we are not to worry. (Matthew 6) Our lives are in His hands. Our times are in His hands. Faith in Action
1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
4 By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.

Something for the kids
loves you? Of course you do!
So that we could go to Heaven and live with Him when we die.
He did this so that He could make us clean again from a type of
dirt called “sin”. You and me can’t see it, because it infects the heart like a disease. When people do bad things, it is called sin. And this makes GOD very sad. GOD doesn’t like sin because He is good and there is no badness in Him. GOD can never be bad because He is holy. He is perfect. He makes no mistakes. He’s never wrong. He is always holy. GOD wants us to be close to Him. He wants to be our friend and He wants us to love Him, because He is our Father in Heaven and He loves us dearly. He is the only one who loves us unconditionally. Do you know what that means? He loves us so much that nothing in the whole wide world could separate us from that love. (Romans 8:35-39)
Nothing that we could ever do would ever stop Him from loving
us. He just loves us, just because. His love for us is great!
It give instructions on how to live a good life. He also speaks to
us. He just loves us, just because. His love for us is great!
My King is a sovereign King
Jesus is King over all the earth. And since He is King, that
makes us princes and princesses. We belong to a great family-
GOD’s family. Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD and He is GOD. He
created the world. And then the King Himself came to the world
to save us. Isn’t that wonderful? That our King would lay down
His life for us- His people. He wants us to become like Him. Simply
put, doesn’t a child look like their parents? We all look a bit like
our mum and dad’s. So GOD wants us to look like Him and His
Son. He wants us to be like Him in the way we speak, the things
we do and the thoughts we think of. He wants us to be good and
well behaved. This would show the world a mirror of what GOD is
like, by us being an example. Nobody is perfect except GOD the
Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus showed us how to live
perfectly. And told us that He would help to do the same. He said
that it proves we are children of His and our Father in Heaven.
When you are GOD's child (a child of Christ Jesus) you have nothing to fear. You never have to be afraid because GOD is with you and He loves you dearly.
If you are not a Christian yet then pray this prayer.
When you are GOD's child (a child of Christ Jesus) you have nothing to fear. You never have to be afraid because GOD is with you and He loves you dearly.
If you are not a Christian yet then pray this prayer.
Prayer
Dear LORD Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner. I believe that You died for me and that
GOD raised You from the dead. I ask You now to come into my
heart and cleanse me from my sin. I love You.
Amen.
If you have prayed this prayer, then you are now a Christian.
GOD has heard your prayer. In fact, He always hears you. He is
the only One who understands you completely, so go to Him with
all of your problems. No matter what it is, your worries are not
too hard for GOD to handle and your burdens are never too
heavy for GOD to handle. He will sort out all of your problems.
If you have prayed this prayer, Christ has now entered into your heart and will live with you forever and you will live with Him. He is the best BFF you will ever have, because He loves you and promises never to leave you nor forsake you. He will be your Friend to the end. And you have nothing to worry about as long as He is with you.
GOD’s Word
GOD talks to you through His Word, the Holy Bible. His Word
is powerful and is able to make you grow big and strong in your
heart, mind, soul and spirit. He loves you and wants you to be
happy. He wants you to become like Him and He will help you
with everything you need help with.
you through the Holy Spirit. When you become a child of GOD,
Jesus puts His own Spirit inside of you. This Spirit says that we are
children of GOD. He speaks to us about what is right and what is
wrong. He lives within us (in our hearts) and lets us know the
thoughts of GOD. He is perfect, because He is GOD. He works in
our hearts to make us like Him. Like surgery, He transforms us
from the inside.
Have you ever seen the movie Transformers? Transformer, robots in disguise. GOD transforms us to be like Him. Little bit by little bit and day by day we become more like Him. He performs surgery on our heart. Our hearts become more kind, more loving, more patient, more joyful, more peaceful. GOD produces fruit in our hearts, called the fruit of the Spirit. These are: -
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Ask GOD to produce these special Fruit in you.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Bye for now. xx
AND REMEMBER KIDS, PRAY ALL THE TIME AND READ YOUR BIBLES.

The Mirror of My Heart
The Bible/Scripture says in Proverbs 4:23 to "Guard your heart with all diligence for this is the issue of life".
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. NIV
Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. NKJV
Be careful what goes into your thoughts and what occupies/makes up your thought pattern because it may begin to seep into your heart and take over/infect it.
Jesus very wisely sums it up in this way. "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Matthew 6:21. In these end times, our main focus should be GOD and His way. He knows what is best and will guide us with all diligence if we are willing to follow. Now my GOD is a Gentleman. He won't force you to follow His way: although it is always best. It is an issue of the heart. You must want to pursue Him. GOD has already spent thousands upon thousands of years pursuing man. The entire Bible speaks of it. Until He finally sent His beloved Son to die for sinful, unworthy, rebellious (back-sliden) Mankind.
It is now time to choose His way. As a husband expects his wife to be faithful to him, the LORD wants our whole-hearted devotion. We must not act as prostitutes, trying to divide our love between mulitiple lovers/partners, because GOD has said "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (that includes idols of any kind which we set up in our heart- nothing and noone should be more important than GOD in our lives).
Christ is the Husband/Husbandman and we (the church) are His bride. So let's try to make ourselves beautiful for our Husband. Unspoiled by the world'd evil influence.
We must not put anything before GOD. Whether it be:-
Love/relationships
- Nobody should take GOD's rightful place in your heart. Your life-partner should in fact be the one to bring you closer to GOD and not prevent you from growing with the LORD and reaching spiritual maturity.
Greed
- "Man shalt not live by bread alone, but by every Word which cometh from the mouth of GOD." (Matthew 4) We are to live by GOD's Word and not be carried away by the cares of this life, because GOD is our Provider and the One who looks after us. We need not be worried about tomorrow. (Matthew 6)
- For the love of money is the root of all evil. For money- the love of money and the need for materialistic gain, which in essence is covetousness- or rather to gain and keep money people will do anything.
Lust
-For as a man thinketh in his heart so he is
-For the world is passing away and the lust of it. When Jesus comes again to rule and reign with all righteousness only what is good will remain. All else- meaning wickedness and all kinds of evil- will be obliterated. Evil will be utterly destroyed. That is why we must be careful to live a good life and "make our election sure." We are to work out our "own salvation with fear and trembling" because it is a very serious issue. Our eternity is a very important matter. Always remember that "He who does the will of GOD abides forever."
-Matthew 5:28 says "That whoseoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath already commited adultery with her in his heart."
Don't give the devil a foothold. he is to be beneath your feet where he belongs. Don't let him play on your weaknesses. Instead take all of your weaknesses, temptations and short-comings to the Father and He will strengthen you and cause you to stand. Also, you need to be wearing the Full Armour of GOD. Ephesians 6:10-18. We stand victorious in CHRIST. Nothing is worth your salvation and your relationship with GOD.
We all need to make a decision. All or nothing. Will I serve GOD? (Micah 6:8)
Or will you choose fame, fortune, lust, greed and all the things which lasts only for a short time and leads ultimately to destruction and hell-fire?
Or will you surrender your life to Jesus?
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. NIV
Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. NKJV

Youth
How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. - Psalm 119:9
This post is aimed at youth today. Often we get so caught up in living life, that we forget that we are accountable to GOD. And that every action will be brought into question on the Day of Judgement.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
Romans 12:2 says "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Don't worry about what anyone else is doing. Do what you know is right. Cling to GOD and His Word because that is the surest thing you will EVER come across in life. Your life is not your own, you were bought at a price.

Who am I?
"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesian 2:10
If you have placed your faith in Christ Jesus, then you are a child of GOD. You have the divine privilege of communion with GOD. We have the divine right given to us by GOD to be called a child of GOD. We are heirs of GOD therefore joint-heirs with Christ Jesus. That makes Jesus Christ our brother. We have an inheritance in Heaven. When we become Christians (followers of Christ and children of GOD) then our citizenship is in Heaven. We can put our complete confidence in GOD. Romans 10:13, Acts 2:21, Joel 2:32, 1 Corinthians 1:2, Romans 10:9. For He has said that all who call on His name will never be put to shame Romans 10:11. He has also said that He is faithful to complete the good which He began in you. Philippians 1:6
When you put your trust in Jesus Christ, you have a security which will never fail. GOD Himself holds your life in His hands and orders your steps. Psalm 37:23. Being a Christian is not always easy, but Jesus promises to guide you. He said that He will not leave you comfortless. So He sent the Comforter. The Holy Spirit living within you. He guides you and speaks to you. The still small voice within you which teaches you what is right and what is wrong, is GOD's own Spirit which He gave to us when we became children of GOD. He is the Spirit of adoption. GOD's seal of redemption on us. "Proof of purchase" if you like. Ephesians 1:13-14. By the blood of Jesus shed for us on Calvary, our freedom was bought. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. And the Holy Spirit is our gurantee of our redemption, salvation. That when Jesus comes again we will be hidden in Him. We will be caught up with Him in the clouds and taken safely to Heaven with Him where we will dwell forever. Here are some Scriptures to consider: -
John 1:12 "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— "
1 John 3:1 "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him."
1 John 3:10 "This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister."
All of these speak of the incomprehendable, indescribable and endless unconditional love of the Father. He loves us with an undying love That He would send His one and only Son to die in our place, to reconcile us to GOD. You might ask how this came to be. Well in the beginning when GOD created the world, He created man. (Adam and Eve) And they dwelt in perfect harmony with GOD, until the evil one, (the devil or the serpent) deceived Eve (the woman) and she ate of the fruit of the knowledge of Good and Evil- which GOD had commanded them not to eat. She gave it to her husband (Adam) and he ate also. This is the Fall of Man. Read in more detail. Genesis 2-3.
I know that whatever happens in life, GOD is able to keep me. Who the Son sets free is free indeed. John 8:36. The moment you accept Jesus into your life, you enter into an everlasting friendship with Allmighty GOD. The best and most important decision you can ever make in life is to follow Jesus. A man does nt consist of just body and mind. He has a soul as well and after the body has died the soul lives forever. Once you accept Christ into your life, you have the guarantee of spending your eternity with Him. If you are not a Christian yet, search your heart and look at the beauty and complexity of nature, which reveals the heart of our omipotent and loving Creator, Heavenly Father and LORD. Romans 14:11, Philippians 2:10. Choose to follow Him now and your life will never be the same.
